Lead by an ex-police officer, Haegeum is a vigilante gang that is fairly new to the scene. Recently started, this gang hails in the area of Insa-dong. They claim to be the voice of the people- not trusting the police to handle the rise of mafia and crime activity.

The leader himself claims he was backstabbed by a former colleague who was never punished for his actions. After experiencing the backwards way of what was supposed to be law, he went rogue and started up a method of his own for catching criminals.

As time went on, the vigilante group became less of a good thing and more of a danger to those in their way. They are fighting for the people- but if the people are going to try and stop them? They will mow them down too. This gang is mostly known for heists against the rich, anti-police operations, taking down smaller gangs and providing their own means of justice, usually in the form of violence.

The Warden

ROLE An ex-police officer who was betrayed by the very system he swore to uphold. He oversees the syndicate’s grand offensive, directing Haegeum not as a typical gang, but as a superior form of law. He is driven by a singular, burning grudge against his former colleagues, and his vision of justice is absolute: if the system is broken, it must be burned down and replaced by his own hand.

ROLE They oversee the gang's field operations and combat training. As a master of urban warfare, they ensure that the group moves with the efficiency of a SWAT team. They are responsible for the gang's reputation for mowing down anyone who interferes with a mission, viewing collateral damage as a necessary cost of cleansing the city.

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Christian was raised by a loving family. They were as normal as a military family could get.
When Christian was 9 years old, he was trafficked by an on duty cop. Christian was in capture for 3 years. Being passed around across almost all of South, Korea. The amounts of times he attempted to escape shows on his skin as scars from lashings. When he was 12 years old, he successfully escaped. Being raised by a military family had its perks for certain skills, like survival.

Christian was eventually returned to his parents but… he wasn’t the same.

Christian developed Dissociative Identity Disorder. To protect himself, he now has three personalities in total.

At 14, Christian was forced to move to South Korea. A therapist suggested that staying in the same country he had trauma in would follow him for the rest of his life, so his parents fought about it and even divorced over it. So he was taken by his mother to South, Korea to live.

Christian still never got his justice.

The only thing that kept him straight was fighting. So he fought. A lot. At 18. Christian fought an entire small gang by himself. He was fucked up afterwards, but he was the only one standing and everyone else was worse off.

A member of Haegum witnessed it all and watched Christian for a year after that. They thought of him as useful and what they needed for their ways of brute force.

Christian was recruited into Haegum when he was about to turn 20 and he’s been apart of it ever since.

ROLE They oversee the loyalty and mental discipline of the members. Because Haegeum is built on the ruins of a backstabbed career, they are hyper vigilant against betrayal. They handle the re-education of members who show hesitation and ensure that the syndicate's ideology remains pure and uncompromised by greed or mercy.

Hyeongseo was once a bright-eyed rookie detective hailing from Busan, only to come be placed in an unfortunate district where the funds are dirty and most officers are corrupt.

Betrayed by her own squad, she was chosen as the fall guy when a narcotics smuggling operation was cracked open by journalists. while they got off scot-free, Hyeongseo was framed as the only one who had done the deed.

She was only able to be released from prison by 'The Warden', who handpicked her to be part of HAEGEUM. A month later, the squadron that did her dirty was all found without decapitated and their houses burned down.
